And So it Begins...

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity has launched. Like new mothers and fathers, we are extremely proud. If you have pre-ordered, you should receive your link to the full version within 12 minutes of reading this. If you haven't played, give it a try. You'll love it!

  • Congratulations on the release! Downloading now...

I'm not sure why but Gmail (Google Mail for some) thought the release e-mail, with download link and all, was a spam e-mail and automatically put it in the spam folder! Everyone check your spam folder before panicing and/or writing an outraged e-mail to Dejobaan.

P.S. Any headway towards being able to register our pre-orders on Steam?

  • Thank you!

    > Any headway towards being able to register our pre-orders on Steam?

We're trying to sort that out -- drop us an e-mail at support@?

  • I still can't download on Steam! I am sad.

  • 1) Pre-ordered the game on Steam.
    2) Did not receive any mail or deleted it if it was in spam folder (:S)
    3) Was able to download the game on Steam and run it anyway.

Question : How can I get a new mail with CD-Key, info & stuff ?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Fracker,

Each publisher's different, so if you ordered through Steam, Valve's made it available to you.

    > Question : How can I get a new mail with CD-Key, info & stuff ?

No keys necessary over Steam, but if you need anything, drop us an e-mail at support@dejobaan!

  • (And Steam should fiiiiinally be open!)

By Blogger Ichiro Lambe, At September 3, 2009 at 5:34 PM

  • Downloaded off Steam. Fiiiiinally is right.

Worth the wait (and then some), though. It's hilariously awesome.

Just one question... the cubes that appear as just tips say "This is a cube we're working on. Right now." when you mouse over them. Does mean they're going to be levels or something? I don't... understand.

By Blogger Paul Cheng, At September 3, 2009 at 9:43 PM

  • Well, crap. That's a bug. We hope to turn them into additional levels, but we weren't supposed to say that, because we may work on something else (or go out of business) instead!

By Blogger Ichiro Lambe, At September 3, 2009 at 11:13 PM

  • Just like the demo, great game. Hilarious speech in between levels. I liked the "How we made AaaaAaaAAaa!" bit.

Yeah, I noticed the "We're working on..." cubes. Using the cubes as more levels would be nice, but we play what we get. A DLC or patch, maybe? Anyway, keep up the good work. Can't way for more releases.

  • I'm very confused by This is How You Land a Flying Nun. Obviously you need to get a kiss somewhere to get 5 stars, but I can't manage to get a kiss to trigger anywhere, except when it's too late to land. Suggestions?

By Blogger Verte, At September 4, 2009 at 4:10 AM

  • "Go out of business"? D: I hope that's a casual joke!

Anyway, I'm loving the in-between stages news reports. And the bird strikes. And the mountain stages. Well, actually, I'm enjoying everything.

  • I'm finding it to be massively entertaining so far. The later levels are really great, so much going on and so much great risk/reward action.

My 100% favourite thing about the game however is something completely intangible. Its the general feeling I get from the whole experience. I really feel like I can feel the love and passion that went in to making this game, which you just don't get these days. I can tell you guys had fun making it, and it really shines through in the final package. Inspiring stuff guys.

  • I have to try this game's grandma's chocolate chip cookie recipe some time.

  • So I've been keeping an eye on this game ever since the open alpha, and while I was playing that, and while I played the pre-release version, I always felt like there was just something missing, like it was just a weird idea for a game with a bunch of funny attached. I don't know what it was that the game lacked, but you got it in with the release.

    Nice job. Grade A+.
